Everest Group has appointed Jim Williamson as president and chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Williamson was most recently Everest’s Acting CEO. Prior to that, he served as the company’s EVP and Group COO, and head of the Reinsurance and Insurance Divisions. He has held roles of increasing seniority since joining Everest as Group COO in 2020. His career in the P/C industry, with senior positions at The Hartford, Chubb and ACE, spans over two decades.

Plymouth Rock Assurance has named Greg Kalinsky as president and CEO of the Plymouth Rock Management Company of New Jersey, effective February 24, 2025. In this role, Kalinsky will oversee Plymouth Rock’s direct-to-consumer and exclusive agent auto insurance division. He will report to Andrew McElwee, president and chief operating officer of The Plymouth Rock Company.

Kalinsky spent 37 years at GEICO, starting in the mailroom and rising through the ranks to hold multiple leadership roles across the company. He was elected to the GEICO Board of Directors and served as EVP, overseeing all operations, including $40 billion in written premium and 35,000 employees across 15 offices nationwide.

Kalinsky replaces Jeff Briglia, who was named president of Insurance at Hagerty effective July 1, 2024.

Intact Financial Corporation announced that T. Michael Miller will retire from his current role as chief executive officer, Global Specialty Lines (GSL), effective March 31, 2025. He will remain with the organization serving as chairman, Global Specialty Lines, and will be appointed director of IFC following his retirement.

Miller’s retirement follows a 44-year career in the P/C industry, including 13 years at OneBeacon Insurance and the last seven years at Intact, which acquired OneBeacon in 2017.

Emmanuel Clarke, who currently serves as IFC corporate director and chairman of IFC’s GSL Advisory Board, will succeed Miller as CEO GSL and will concurrently step down from the board.

Clarke spent more than 25 years at PartnerRe, where he served as president and CEO from 2015 to 2020. In recent years he has served on several insurance-related corporate boards advising executives, investors and founders on how best to accelerate growth across the insurance value chain.
