Chubb appointed Mark Homan as division president, International Property and Casualty, for Overseas General Insurance, the company’s international general insurance operations.

In his new role, which is effective June 1, Homan will be responsible for the company’s international commercial property and casualty insurance business, including property, casualty, professional lines, energy and marine product lines.

Homan, who currently serves as chief operating officer for the division, has three decades of insurance industry experience. He began his insurance career in 1993 and, prior to joining Chubb in 2011, held management positions in Europe and the U.S., including at Allianz, AIG and Wüba, where he served as a member of the board.

Homan will report to Juan Luis Ortega, EVP, Chubb Group and president, Overseas General Insurance. He succeeds Timothy O’Donnell, who is retiring from the company after 20 years of service.

QBE Insurance Group Limited has appointed Serene Davis to the newly created position of global head of Cyber, starting May 15.

Davis will be responsible for working with QBE’s divisional cyber underwriting leaders to develop and drive a unified cyber strategy for risk assessment, pricing, claims, product and service offerings, and marketing across the entire enterprise.

Davis is based in Southern California and has more than 20 years of industry expertise. She is joining QBE from Beazley, where she spent 17 years, most recently served as regional manager of the west and head of the Los Angeles, Calif., office. Before Beazley, Davis worked at AIG and Federated Insurance.

Amwins appointed Andrew Kay as president of Amwins Specialty Casualty Solutions (ASCS).

In his new role, Kay will lead one of the largest underwriting operating companies within Amwins, comprising more than 20 programs that focus on niche markets including Public Entity, PEO, Transportation, Healthcare and Professional Lines with total annual written premium in excess of $1 billion.

Kay succeeds Munawar Ali, who led ASCS since its launch in 2011 and has moved into a new firm-level role focused on product development for Amwins.

Prior to joining Amwins in 2020, Kay spent 15 years with Markel and Great American, where he began serving in underwriting roles and earned progressively increased management responsibilities focused on public entity insurance solutions.

Ambac Financial Group announced the appointment of Naveen Anand as president of Cirrata Group, Ambac’s insurance distribution division. In this newly created position, Anand will be responsible for expanding Cirrata Group and building its profile in the specialty property and casualty insurance market. He will report to Claude LeBlanc, president and CEO of Ambac.

Anand, who is based in New York, has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. For the past two years, he was group president at Players Health. He’s also held executive positions at Hallmark Financial Services, Torus Insurance, CNA and Chubb.
