Coalition announced three key appointments:
Jim Young has been named chief financial officer. He brings over 20 years of experience leading global finance companies and public and private technology companies, serving as CFO at Broadridge, an S&P 500 company and fintech leader. Prior to that, Young served in senior finance roles at Visa Inc. including SVP of finance. Most recently, he served as CFO of ag-tech company Indigo Ag. As Coalition’s first-ever CFO, Young will play a critical role in scaling the firm’s business and financial operations.
John Littzi has been appointed general counsel. He is responsible for the firm’s global legal affairs and serves as principal counsel to the company founder and CEO Joshua Motta, as well as its senior management team and board of directors. Littzi joins Coalition after serving as sole deputy general counsel of W. R. Berkley Corporation.
Julie Richardson has been named a board member. Richardson brings over 25 years of experience on Wall Street in investment banking and private equity roles to Coalition. She currently serves on the boards of UBS, Datadog and YEXT. She also recently served on the board of The Hartford from 2014-2020 and chaired the company’s audit committee for three years.

Obsidian Insurance Group has appointed Scott Palladino as chief business development officer.
Most recently, Palladino served in a similar role with Clear Blue, where he was one of the original members of the management team. He started his career at Liberty Mutual, where he held various property and casualty underwriting and management positions over a 22-year period. He has held leadership positions at Sompo Japan Nipponkoa, including CUO and VP of Specialty Operations. He was also a member of the board of Sompo Marine and Fire Company and a member of the U.S. mergers and acquisition team.

Crum & Forster announced that Nick Cook has been named as chief risk officer, reporting to Marc Adee, chairman and CEO.
In this newly formed role, Cook will lead claim audit and claim litigation management in addition to continuing to oversee catastrophe modeling and the ceded reinsurance function.
In his most recent role as CRO for the Surplus & Specialty Division, Cook oversaw actuarial pricing for Surplus & Specialty Lines and led ceded reinsurance and catastrophe risk management. He has been with Crum & Forster for seven years, serving in roles within underwriting and analytics.
Prior to joining Crum & Forster, Cook held positions in treaty underwriting and ceded reinsurance with the Odyssey Reinsurance Company. He began his career as a professional golfer before moving into the insurance industry.

Hudson Insurance Group the appointment of Emily Lowe as senior vice president and Cyber practice leader for HudsonPro.
In this newly created role, Lowe will be spearheading the development of an Excess Cyber facility for large accounts while also overseeing Hudson’s overall cyber portfolio.
Lowe brings 15 years of cyber and professional liability underwriting and broking experience to Hudson. She most recently served as SVP and New England regional leader for Corporate Risk and Cyber at Willis Towers Watson. She also served as an executive underwriter for professional liability at ACE American Insurance Company.
She is based in Boston and reports to Catherine Cossu, senior vice president, HudsonPro.
