Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS), the corporate insurance carrier of Allianz Group, has appointed Vanessa Maxwell as the new global head of Financial Lines. She joins from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), where she currently oversees the UK franchise as a country manager.
Maxwell will succeed—and also subsequently report to—Shanil Williams, who was promoted in December 2021 to join the AGCS SE board of management in January 2022 as chief underwriting officer Corporate.
Williams was global head of Financial Lines at AGCS from 2019 to the end of 2021 and will continue to oversee this line of business on an interim basis until Maxwell joins AGCS at the latest in June 2022. Both will be based in AGCS’s London office.

Specialist insurer CFC has appointed Roger Francis to the newly created role of managing director of CFC Response, where will be responsible for a team of more than 100 global incident responders and cybersecurity specialists operating across three global offices in London, the United States and Australia.
Francis joined CFC in 2019 as Cyber Claims Director.

Lockton appointed Michelle Faylo as its U.S. Cyber & Technology Leader. She will lead Lockton’s team of skilled cyber specialists, delivering innovative and effective solutions to global businesses that face increasingly complex cyber risks.
A 20-year veteran of the insurance industry, Faylo joins Lockton from AIG, where she most recently was North America head of Cyber & Professional Liability. In this role, she managed a team of more than 60 specialists focused on the evolving cyber and professional liability marketplace. During her time at AIG, she managed relationships with clients of all sizes and across multiple industries, developing customized solutions to critical cyber risks. She also managed AIG’s relationships with leading cybersecurity and technology risk vendors. Before joining AIG in 2006, she worked as a client advocate at Willis.
