Lloyd’s of London has appointed Sara Gomez as chief people officer (CPO). She will focus on developing Lloyd’s talent, leadership and inclusion strategy.

She brings experience as a CPO from a career that spans roles in the retail, commercial and financial sectors, most recently at the fintech Greensill. Before that Gomez was at Moss Bros, following seven years at Direct Line Group.

Gomez joined Lloyd’s in July 2021 and was appointed interim chief HR officer and a member of Lloyd’s Executive Committee in December 2021.

Sandbox Insurtech Ventures, the dedicated insurance investing strategy of Sandbox Industries, announced that Charles Chamness, former CEO of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, has joined the firm as an advisor. Based in Indianapolis, he will collaborate closely with the Sandbox Insurtech leadership team and its portfolio companies to provide strategic counsel across the insurance industry.

Global InsurTech Sure has appointed Cassi Conrad as chief insurance officer. In this role, she will oversee insurance strategy, product development and operations as the company continues to accelerate embedded insurance programs for global brands and insurance carriers internationally.

Conrad was previously head of Insurance at Sure. Prior to joining Sure, she served as senior vice president of Strategy and Operations at iptiQ by Swiss Re. She also held former positions at Trov and Assurant.
