CNA, White Mountains Insurance Group and ClearPath Mutual have all named new chief financial officers.

CNA announced the appointment of Scott Lindquist as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He will join CNA on Jan. 10 and will assume the duties of CFO following the filing of the company’s 2021 annual report on Form 10-K.
Lindquist will succeed Larry Haefner, who has served as interim CFO since September. He will report to Dino E. Robusto, CNA’s chairman and chief executive officer.
Lindquist most recently served as CFO at Farmers Group Inc. Prior to that, he served as vice president and chief accounting officer at Genworth Financial and senior VP and chief accounting officer at The Phoenix Companies Inc.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut. He has served on multiple boards, including as the past chairman of the board for Farmers Insurance Federal Credit Union.
CNA also announced the appointment of Amy Smith as the company’s chief accounting officer. She previously served as the company’s SVP and corporate controller. She will report to Scott Lindquist.

White Mountains Insurance Group has named Liam P. Caffrey as chief financial officer, effective March 1.
Caffrey currently serves as a consultant to a subsidiary of the company. Previously, he spent nine years at Aon plc, most recently as CEO of Aon Affinity and global CFO of Aon Risk Solutions. Before that, he was a partner with McKinsey & Company.
Reid T. Campbell, White Mountains’ current CFO, will become president of White Mountains on March 1 and will serve in that role until his retirement in February 2024. Campbell will maintain all his current executive duties other than his responsibilities as CFO. He also will continue to serve as a director of Build America Mutual Assurance Company and Ark Insurance Holdings Limited.

Workers compensation insurance carrier ClearPath Mutual Insurance Company has appointed Jillian Taylor to the role of chief financial officer.
Taylor most recently served as CFO and vice president of Finance at Lawyers Mutual of Kentucky. Prior to that, she held the role of financial accounting manager at Kentucky Farm Bureau.
Taylor has a bachelor’s in Accounting from the University of Louisville and holds the Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF) designation.
