The Insurance Information Institute is resuming in-person events with its Joint Industry Forum 2021 on Thursday, Dec. 2 in Manhattan. This time, as with many post-COVID gatherings, there will be some health precautions in play.
New York City requires proof of vaccination against COV-19 for indoor dining and entertainment so the event, at the New York Hilton Midtown in Manhattan, will include hotel staff checking proof of vaccination and I.D.
This is the first Joint Industry Forum NYC gathering in about two years.
Panel discussions and events are scheduled from 10:40 a.m. through 4:45 p.m., after which there will be a networking reception. Carrier Management will cover highlights of the day.
Topics to be covered include extreme weather, hiring, cyber risks, economic volatility, and runaway litigation.
Executives from Aon, The Hartford, State Farm, NAMIC, Utica Mutual, and Zurich North America are among scheduled panelists.
A year ago, the III joined The Institutes, an education and research nonprofit, as an affiliate. III CEO Sean Kevelighan said the affiliation was designed to help the Insurance Information Institute become more of a 21st century trade association. Peter Miller, President and CEO of The Institutes, will also be participating in the one-day event.
