Specialist insurer Hiscox appointed a veteran Hartford executive as its new Chief Financial Officer in the U.S. Hourly, an InsurTech startup and insurance intermediary with a workers comp technology platform, has hired a Chief Risk & Analytics Officer.

Specialist insurer Hiscox appointed Jerry Cox as Chief Financial Officer in the U.S.
Most recently, Cox served as a divisional CFO at The Hartford across multiple business areas, including commercial, specialty, corporate functions, technology, operations, and claims. He will be based in Atlanta, Georgia, and report to Kevin Kerridge, Chief Executive Officer in the U.S.
Before joining Hiscox, Cox spent over two decades at The Hartford in a variety of roles with growing responsibility, leading large teams of finance professionals in the process. During his 22-year year tenure, Cox served in numerous leadership roles across product management, operations, distribution and marketing.
Hiscox USA provides a variety of commercial and specialty risk coverage and services, including a broad spectrum of errors & omissions, general liability, cyber and data security, media liability, management liability, crime, and terrorism insurance products.

The InsurTech Hourly has hired Tomer Eilam as its Chief Risk & Analytics Officer. Hourly is an insurance intermediary and has developed a workers comp technology platform.
Eilam, a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, has more than 20 years of actuarial experience and has focused most of his career on workers compensation in California, the state with the largest and most complex workers compensation system in the nation.
Previously, Eilam served as Chief Actuary at Atlas General Insurance Services, the workers compensation subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher. While there, Eilam also served as the president of Atlas’ claims company, Titan Claims Management. In these roles, Eilam was responsible for data analytics, pricing strategy, reinsurance relationships, and using analytics to optimize the claims handling process.
Earlier in his career, Eilam served as Chief Actuary at Arrowhead, a subsidiary of Brown & Brown, and prior to that, he was a Corporate Actuary at Preferred Employers, a subsidiary of W.R. Berkley. He also served on the Actuarial Committee of the California Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau.
As Hourly’s Chief Risk & Analytics Officer, Eilam oversee data science, actuarial analytics, underwriting and building a robust team to help drive innovation in the worker’ compensation industry – including an initiative to prevent work-related injuries with targeted safety content through the Hourly platform.
