Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance appointed Carlos Beltran to the position of Senior Vice President, Global Property Underwriting Officer.

Beltran has more than 24 years of experience in the global property insurance market. He joined BHSI in 2018, as Vice President, Property Underwriting Manager for the Middle East, before taking on the role of Head of First Party Lines for Asia.

Before BHSI, he spent nearly 16 years in increasingly senior positions at Chubb around the world. He will be relocating from Singapore to the United States.

MS Amlin Underwriting Limited (MS AUL) today chose Peter McKenna as President of newly formed sister company MS Amlin Distribution Holdings

McKenna will report to Johan Slabbert, CEO of the new entity.

An industry veteran, McKenna joins MS ADH from RSG Europe, where he most recently served as CEO for seven years. Responsible for the formation, development and management of RSG’s presence in Europe, McKenna expanded the business’ products and services across Europe and the Middle East.

Before RSG, McKenna worked for 23 years at AIG in a number of roles, including CEO, Financial Lines EMEA, and Chief Operating Officer, Financial Lines US & Canada.

San Francisco, Calif.-based Coalition named Dovid Tkatch as head of insurance infrastructure and actuarial science, a newly created position.

Tkatch will manage pricing, reserving, capital requirements, regulatory compliance, state filings, and interaction with reinsurers.

Tkatch has global and domestic insurance and reinsurance experience managing underwriting, pricing and regulatory compliance. Previously, he was chief actuary and executive vice president at Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies. He also served as deputy head of commercial pricing at AIG, and was chief pricing actuary for Zurich Latin America.

Coalition provides cyber insurance and security, and is backed by global insurers Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, Arch Insurance, and Lloyd’s of London.
