AXA XL’s Crisis Management and Specialty Risk business has appointed Francisco Arias as Senior Underwriter for War, Terrorism & Political Violence. AXA XL is the property & casualty and specialty risk division of AXA.
Based in Atlanta, Ga., Arias reports to Morgan Shrubb, Head of Terrorism in the U.S.
Arias is responsible in his new role for upholding the underwriting excellence and profitability the book of business, implementing strategy and best practices, and maintaining key broker and client relationships.
Arias began his insurance career as a graduate trainee at Aspen Insurance, rotating across departments including Energy and Construction Underwriting, Audit, Environmental Claims and Crisis Management Underwriting. He has also spent time in London with Terrorism Underwriters at Lloyds and as a Terrorism Underwriter in the U.S. and Latin America markets. Most recently he served as a K&R business development and as Facultative Reinsurance broker in Latin America and the Caribbean for Marsh.

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions named Chris Favorito as Head of Executive Risks North America.
He will be responsible for leading and driving the underwriting strategy for the North American Executive Risk book of business, including a suite of management liability products tailored for public and private companies.
Favorito was previously a vice president in the team’s management liability group. He was a founding member of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ management liability business in North America, joining the company in 2011.
Mr. Favorito has over 20 years of insurance experience.
