Hamilton Insurance Group appointed a new executive focused on claims at Hamilton Re. AXIS Insurance hired a new vice president for its U.S. Excess Casualty team. International General Insurance Holdings named a new underwriter who will be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Hamilton Insurance Group appointed Kylie Tomas as Senior Vice President, Claims Counsel and Head of Claims at Hamilton Re, Ltd.

In this role, Tomas will manage the insurance and reinsurance claims teams and oversee all claims matters for Hamilton Re, Ltd. She joins Hamilton in late September and will be based in Bermuda, reporting to Megan Thomas, CEO at Hamilton Re, Ltd.

Previously, Tomas was at Sompo International where she spent nearly 12 years, most recently in Alpharetta as Vice President, Claims Counsel, Head of US Financial Institutions Claims, and the initial seven years based in Bermuda as Vice President, Claims Counsel, Professional Lines & Bermuda Insurance Claims Administrative Manager. Before Sompo, she was with Liberty International Underwriters (now Liberty Specialty Markets) in both Australia, where she served as Claims Counsel, and New York, in the role of Senior Claims Specialist. She started her career as a solicitor in the insurance and risk management group at Phillips Fox Lawyers (now DLA Piper) in Australia.

AXIS Insurance, the specialty insurance business segment of AXIS Capital Holdings hired Abiy Dadi as Vice President of the U.S. Excess Casualty team.

Dadi will be responsible for cultivating and strengthening relationships with wholesale distribution partners, enhancing new and existing business opportunities, and executing underwriting strategy. He will be based in Alpharetta and will report to Britt Smith, Senior Vice President, U.S. Excess Casualty.

Dadi joins AXIS from CRC Group where he was most recently an Associate Broker/Assistant Vice President. He was responsible for primary casualty and excess liability production and risk placement, overseeing team operations, and training new team members. He began his insurance career at CRC Group in 2012 as an Assistant Broker.

International General Insurance Holdings Ltd. named Manpreet Kaur Gill as Asia Pacific Financial and Professional Lines Underwriter of IGI Labuan. Gill will be based in the Company’s Kuala Lumpur office.

Gill has 24 years’ industry experience in managing and driving a broad range of financial and professional lines and casualty products. Before joining IGI she worked for QBE Malaysia as the Head of Professional Lines, General Liability and Worker’s Compensation. Before that, she was Manager of Casualty and Financial Lines for MCIS Zurich Insurance, which she joined from AIG Malaysia where she was Vice President and Head of Casualty and then Property.

Gill’s appointment allows IGI to enhance its presence in the Financial and Professional Lines market in the Asia Pacific region. She will report to Nick Garrity, Chief Executive Officer of IGI Labuan.

IGI is an international specialty risks commercial insurer and reinsurer underwriting a diverse portfolio of specialty lines.
