Church Mutual Insurance company hired Dwayne “Dewey” Gantz as senior vice president – Finance.
Gantz will be reporting to Kevin Root, executive vice president – Operations. In his new position, he will collaborate with Jeff Steffen, current senior VP and CFO, who will retire in early 2021.
Upon Steffen’s retirement, Gantz will lead the entire Finance organization and all related services as senior vice president – chief financial officer.
Gantz has nearly four decades of finance and insurance industry experience. He has held prominent positions with several national insurance carriers and most recently served as senior financial officer – property and casualty at United States Automobile Association (USAA) in San Antonio, Texas.

The company omni:us, a provider of AI-driven insurance claims management technology, hired Antonio Derossi as a member of its Senior Executive Advisory board.
Derossi, with more than 20 years of experience in various roles across insurance, consulting, and venture capital, will function as a key advisor on go-to-market and product optimization strategies for the North American and European insurance markets.
Derossi’s understanding of the intricacies of the American and European insurance space will support increased market penetration for the Berlin-based omni:us, the company said. He will also act as a liaison to insurance companies, solution providers and consulting partners across both continents.
Derossi has worked as the insurance-focused managing partner at Propeller, a venture and advisory firm based in San Francisco and has previously served as COO of Allianz owned subsidary Fireman’s Fund and as COO of Allianz CEEMA (Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa), where he was responsible for IT, operations, claims, and strategic direction. Before that, he worked at McKinsey and Accenture.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance brought on Renee Yozzi to lead Customer & Broker Engagement for the Eastern U.S. Region.
Yozzi brings nearly 20 years of experience to BHSI. She most recently held the title of Director, Strategic and Enterprise Risk Management, at Benjamin Moore & Co. Before that, Yozzi was director of Enterprise Risk Management at Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NJ, and also spent a decade as an Account Executive at Willis.
Yozzi holds a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
