Global reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter & Co. has launched a new business unit focused on carriers and managing general agencies operating in the program market.
GC Access offers services such as carrier and reinsurance transactions, captive support, InsurTech expertise and program startup road maps. Guy Carpenter said the new unit helps clients “fully optimize” their programs by offering expertise, analytics capabilities, global reach, and a network of insurer and reinsurer relationships to match MGAs and carriers.
GC Access is supported by a dedicated team of program brokers, contract specialists, modelers and actuaries and provides fully integrated services across business planning, program carrier selection, capital advisory and modeling support.
The team is led by Michael Jameson, president of GC Access, who previously served as head of Guy Carpenter’s Program division. He will report to John Trace, CEO of North America at Trace.
