Hamilton Insurance Group appointed Aartie Manansingh to lead the development of Hamilton’s mergers and acquisitions division in North America and Latin America.

Based in New York and reporting to David White, Chief Underwriting Officer, Hamilton Managing Agency, Manansingh will play a strategic and underwriting role in the development of Hamilton’s M&A book of business. Leveraging the Company’s Lloyd’s platform, her hire signals Hamilton’s intention to build an international M&A portfolio.

Manansingh joins Hamilton, a Bermuda-based property/casualty specialty insurer and reinsurer, on August 31.

Previously, she was a director in Willis Towers Watson’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group, facilitating the placement of transactional liability products for private equity and corporate clients. Before that, Manansingh was Senior Vice President, Transactional Liability Group, at Ethos Specialty Insurance Services. In that position, she contributed to the successful launch of a managing general agency providing transaction liability products.

Her almost 10 years of M&A experience also include a position as Assistant Vice President at Ironshore Insurance Services Mergers & Acquisitions Group and as Senior Underwriter at Allied World Assurance Company. She began her career as a corporate M&A associate at New York firm Kelley Drye & Warren, LLP.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance named Carsten Keune as Head of Executive & Professional Lines in Germany.

Keune has more than twenty years of industry experience, most recently as Head of Global Commercial Lines Underwriting at ERGO. Before that, he was Underwriting Director Europe, Middle East and Africa at XL Catlin in Germany.

BHSI in Germany offers a wide range of insurance products and services for Financial Lines Business including Commercial D&O and Public Offering of Securities Insurance (POSI), Financial Institutions D&O and Professional Indemnity, and adjacent lines of business to corporate customers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

CopperPoint Insurance Companies hired Kathleen Ziegler as Senior Vice President, Operations – a newly-created role.

Previously, Ziegler was Head of Distribution at Blackboard, an AIG-owned technology-focused subsidiary where she developed and managed broker relationships and contributed to the overall build of this middle-market commercial insurance start-up.

In her new role, Ziegler will oversee business operations, procedures and efficiency to support CopperPoint and its agency/broker partners. She will also be instrumental in integrating operations for the CopperPoint Family of Insurance Companies: CopperPoint, Alaska National and PacificComp, leveraging opportunities to improve the operating platform and shared services approach.

Ziegler began her career at Accenture and progressed to roles of increasing responsibility at Zurich, Marsh and AIG, most notably Head of Operations and Technology for the U.S. at Marsh and Northeast Regional Vice President of Zurich’s commercial market business.

Kathleen is a strong proponent of advancing women in business and served as an executive sponsor for AIG’s Women & Allies Employee Resource Group. She was also on the steering committee of Marsh’s internal women’s group and founded the global women’s network at Zurich in 2007, which is still in place today.
