Executives formerly with Guy Carpenter and Hiscox Re are joining AXIS Re as underwriters for the company’s North America Property team. RLI Corp. promoted an executive to the role of Vice President, E&S Property. Ironshore Environmental named a former Argo Group executive to lead its newly established wholesale team. The insurer Westfield hired a Chief People Officer.

Two new underwriters are joining AXIS Re to help expand its North America Property team.

Sue Ringold joins as a Senior Underwriter and Bill Orendorf will have the title of Underwriter. They are joining the North American Property team and will be based in Bermuda.

Ringold joins AXIS Re from Hiscox Re where she spent more than 10 years. Most recently, she was a Senior Underwriter for Property Treaty, focused on the North America & Caribbean regions. Orendorf joins from Guy Carpenter where he was a Senior Vice President. Prior to that, he held various underwriting roles at Chubb Tempest Reinsurance and Transatlatic Re.

RLI Corp. promoted Jonathan Ward to the position of Vice President, E&S Property.

In this role, Ward will be responsible for leading RLI’s E&S Property Group, which offers comprehensive commercial property and difference in conditions coverages for commercial risks. He replaces John Stenhouse, who recently retired after 20 years of dedicated service to RLI.

Ward joined RLI in 2003 as a Catastrophe Analyst and served as Director, Exposure Management before being promoted to Assistant Vice President, Risk Services in 2014.

Ironshore Environmental named Kelly Killimett to lead its newly established wholesale team.

Killimett will be responsible for developing and executing an integrated underwriting and sales strategy dedicated to serving wholesale brokerages in the United States. Killimett will be based in Atlanta, reporting to Toby Smith, President of Ironshore Environmental.

Killimett has more than 15 years of environmental underwriting experience with a focus on wholesale distribution. Over the past eight years she has served in various leadership roles at Argo Group, most recently as head of the environmental business unit. Killimett began her underwriting career with a retail insurance agency offering commercial lines coverages.

The insurer Westfield hired Jennifer Palmieri as Chief People Officer.

In this new leadership role, Palmieri will advocate for employees and the company, ensuring employees are supported and empowered to make a positive difference in the lives of customers.

With more than 20 years of extensive human resources leadership experience, Palmieri is leading all aspects of Westfield’s talent management strategy, people related practices and the HR team. She serves as a critical leader on the Enterprise Leadership Team, driving a tight integration between Westfield’s business strategies and talent management capabilities, with a strong focus on building diversity across the workforce and ensuring an inclusive culture.

Before Westfield, Palmieri spent nearly 18 years at Cigna, a global health services company, where she most recently served as Vice President of HR with the global technology team.
