A former Allied World executive signed on with Everest Insurance to lead its Risk & Ceded Reinsurance unit. Marsh appointed a new risk management leader for both its Asia and Pacific regions.

Everest Insurance hired Mike Hoffmann as Head of Risk & Ceded Reinsurance.
In this newly created role, Hoffmann will lead a team that oversees all aspects of the global ceded reinsurance strategy for the Insurance division. In addition, he will also be responsible for Risk Management within the Insurance division, as part of the Group Enterprise Risk Management structure. He will be based out of the company’s Bermuda office.
Hoffmann joins Everest after 15 years with Allied World Assurance, where he most recently served as Global Insurance Chief Underwriting Officer. Before Allied World, Hoffmann spent 14 years with Chubb in a variety of roles in the U.S. and Bermuda.
Hoffmann will report to Mike Mulray, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Underwriting Officer for Everest Insurance.

Marsh appointed Scott Leney as risk management leader for both its Asia and Pacific regions.
In his new role, Leney will oversee Marsh’s regional risk management teams as they build on existing capabilities and develop strategic products and services designed to help Marsh’s largest clients \navigate an increasingly complex global risk landscape.
Currently CEO of Marsh Australia, Leney will assume his new role on Sept. 1, 2020 and report to David Jacob, CEO of Marsh Asia, and Nick Harris, CEO of Marsh Pacific. He will continue to be based in Sydney.
In addition, Leney will serve as country corporate officer for Marsh & McLennan in Australia, working closely with executives across Marsh, Guy Carpenter, Mercer and Oliver Wyman on key client and corporate initiatives.
