Chubb’s Bermuda operations hired a new Head of Excess Liability. Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance fleshed out its global surety team with a new hire in Canada.

Chubb Bermuda hired Michael Warwicker as Senior Vice President, Head of Excess Liability.

In this role, Warwicker will oversee Chubb Bermuda’s Excess Liability Division and will lead strategic business planning for product, service, and distribution growth while developing and executing profitable underwriting portfolio management strategies. Based in Bermuda, he will report to Judy Gonsalves, Vice President of Chubb Group and Division President, Chubb Bermuda.

Warwicker has more than 40 years of international and U.S. insurance industry experience and has held executive casualty underwriting leadership positions at Endurance, Ironshore, and AIG. Through positions of increased responsibility, he successfully led teams of underwriters to drive profitable growth while also playing an instrumental role in cultivating enduring relationships with clients and brokers.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance expanded its global surety team with the addition of Andrew Adams as Head of Surety in Canada.

In this new role, Adams will establish and expand BHSI’s contract and commercial surety relationships throughout Canada.

Andrew comes to BHSI with more than 25 years of surety underwriting experience. He began his career at the Guardian Insurance Company of Canada and Zurich Canada, and was most recently Vice President, Surety, Canada, at AIG. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from York University in Toronto.
