Willis Towers Watson named a new head of Construction Broking in North America. GEICO has its latest president in charge of claims operations, after promoting from within.

Willis Towers Watson appointed Jim Dunlap as head of Construction Broking in North America.
In this role, Dunlap will oversee the insurance brokerage offerings aimed at its portfolio of construction clients, including contractors, project owners, developers, architects and engineers in North America.
Based in Chicago, IL, Dunlap will report to Joseph Peiser, head of Broking for North America.
Previously, Dunlap served as head of Casualty Construction Broking for North America at Willis Towers Watson. Before that, he was regional vice president of Distribution at Zurich North America and Midwest Region Construction Casualty Placement leader at Marsh & McLennan Companies.

GEICO promoted Shane Wheeler to become president in charge of the company’s claims operations. He’ll be based at the insurer’s corporate headquarters in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
Previously, he had served as assistant vice president of claims for GEICO’s regional operations in Tuscon, Arizona going back to 2016. Prior to that, he was the liability director for the insurer’s regional office in Dallas.
Wheeler joined GEICO in 1999 as a service counselor at the San Diego regional office and entered the management internship program soon after. After completing the program, he was named a supervisor in the claims division. He earned his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) designation in 2007.
