An AIG veteran is joining AXIS Capital Holdings as its new head of Investor Relations. Guy Carpenter & Company appointed a new managing director and senior broker for its UK non-marine division.

AXIS Capital Holdings Limited named Matthew Rohrmann as its head of Investor Relations.
Rohrmann will lead AXIS Capital’s engagement with the investment community, proactively communicating the company’s vision, strategy and financial story. He’ll report directly to CFO Peter Vogt and will serve as a member of the company’s Global Finance leadership team.
Rohrmann is a veteran executive from both the insurance and reinsurance industries specific to investor relations roles. Most recently, he was director of Investor Relations at AIG, and previously he served as associate director, Investor Relations, at Willis Towers Watson. A Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, Rohrmann began his career as a financial analyst and served as senior research analyst for Nomura Securities and as SVP Equity Research at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods.
Rohrmann replaces Linda Ventresca, who will focus on her role as chief transformation officer. AXIS’ Corporate Development and Communications teams will continue to report in to her.

Guy Carpenter & Company appointed Richard Carver as managing director and senior broker in the firm’s UK non-marine division.
Based in London, Carver will report to James Boyce, deputy CEO, Global Specialties. He takes on the new job in May 2019.
Carver has over 30 years of experience in the reinsurance sector, spanning both the underwriting and broking arenas. Most recently he was a managing director at Aon, having worked at the firm for over 15 years both in London and Bermuda. During his extensive reinsurance career, he was also reinsurance underwriting director at Brit and active underwriter at St. Paul at Lloyd’s Syndicate 314, underwriting both property and casualty reinsurance classes.
