Generali’s Global Assistance Travel Insurance arm launched a new eClaims Portal for its partner JustFly, a value-minded airline ticket aggregator website.
The eClaims Portal provides JustFly customers with a more efficient method to navigate the claims process. The portal lets customers download their description of coverage or policy, start a new claim, add information to an existing claim, and track the status of their claims online. Additionally, the portal offers a robust FAQ section, as well as step-by-step instructions on materials needed and how to submit a claim.
Generali’s eClaims Portal is designed to help the customer conveniently submit claims and access their claims record 24/7 from any device with an Internet browser. In the early weeks of JustFly customers’ usage of eClaims, 33 percent of all claims received have been via the eClaims Portal, the companies said. Given this quick adoption of eClaims, Generali anticipates that the majority of claims will be electronically submitted within weeks, highlighting the website’s ease of use and customer preference for digital experiences.

XL Catlin is backing an effort by The Stimpson Center’s Environmental Security program to develop a predictive mapping model that helps identify developing coastal nations most at risk from climate change.
The Stimpson Center is a nonpartisan policy research center.
The model is designed to better predict the hazards and identify where resilience measures should be implemented in regions most vulnerable to climate changes. It will examine social, environmental and economic conditions in a region and identify nations most at risk of conflict and insecurity due to climate change.
Stimpson’s Environmental Security program was to prevent the project at the Ocean Risk Summit in Bermuda.
