Chubb promoted Matt Merna to be chief operating officer of its North
America Major Accounts division, an arm of the insurance giant that serves risk management needs of large U.S. and Canadian-based companies with complex global risks.
Merna, in this newly-expanded role, will help oversee daily operations for Major Accounts. As well he’ll explore ways to keep expanding Chubb’s core and specialty products, services and coordinated account management to the large account market.
Merna, who has been serving as senior executive vice president of Chubb Global Casualty, will continue in that role. As before, he’ll be based in New York City and still report to Chris Maleno, senior vice president of Chubb Group and Division President of Chubb North America Major Accounts.
Merna joined ACE Group in 2000, before its merger with the old Chubb in 2016.
