Grinnell Re, a division of Grinnell Mutual, has launched a new national reinsurance program focused on expanding its market reach.

The new National Reinsurance team will focus on developing business growth opportunities in new territories, the broker market and the broader property/casualty insurer space, Grinnell Re said. As well, the reinsurance provider will continue to focus on growth opportunities in its traditional farm mutual marketplace.

Reinsurance Vice President Kevin Farrell said that the expansion stems, in part, from the notion that some National Reinsurance Clients will need coverages Grinnell Re hasn’t typically offered. Those potential clients exist in states outside of Grinnell Mutual’s current footprint, he added.

CNA said it is launching new Aging Services general liability, professional liability, employee benefits liability, umbrella and excess policy forms.

The goal with the new forms is to better serve aging services organizations, and the documents are intended to simplify policy language, create more consistency across CNA’s healthcare-related product offerings and also boost transparency regarding coverage.

Form changes include easy-to-navigate design, glossary of defined terms, common terms and conditions that apply to all applicable coverage parts, additional key coverages within the policy to reduce the need for policy endorsement, and flexible product and coverage options.

CNA said its coverage offerings will not change as it launches the new and enhanced forms.
