Chubb promoted a key executive to handle claims operations for Europe and Eurasia & Africa. AXIS Capital Holdings hired two new executives – veterans of Swiss Re and Ascent Underwriting – to help expand its cyber insurance team.

Chubb named Steve Parry as director of Claims, Europe and Eurasia & Africa.

This is a promotion for Parry, who is currently claims director for UK and Ireland, Operations and Integration, a position he assumed in January 2016. He has been with Chubb since 2006, when he joined as head of Property, Energy and Technical Lines Claims for Europe. He replaces Peter Murray, who is retiring this year after a 40-year career in the insurance industry.

In his new role, Parry will handle strategy and delivery of the company’s claims service in Europe and Eurasia & Africa. He’ll still be based in London and report to Jalil Rehman, chief business operations officer and executive vice president, Europe, with a matrix reporting line to Andrew McBride, executive vice president of Claims for Overseas General Insurance.

Parry is a 30-year insurance industry veteran, the last 10 of which have been with Chubb in positions of increasing responsibility, the company said.

Before Chubb, Parry handled various claims management positions at AIG Europe.

AXIS Capital Holdings Ltd. hired two executives to help lead its expanding cyber insurance team.

Neil Arklie will be vice president, Financial Lines and lead underwriter for the insurer’s London-based International Cyber insurance unit. He’ll lead underwriters focused on writing cyber, media, film and television, and technology coverage for AXIS Insurance’s International Division.

Delvin Tillett, meanwhile, has been appointed associate vice president, Financial Lines. He’ll provide underwriting support across cyber, technology and media liability lines.

Before AXIS, Arklie spent 13 years in various executive roles at Swiss Re, most recently as senior Cyber and Technology product manager.

Tillett joined AXIS from managing general agency Ascent Underwriting, where he served as an underwriter specializing in cyber.
