Both CNA and Erie Insurance made a number of new executive appointments. Everest Re hired a former QBE executive as head of Professional Liability.

Erie Insurance made a number of new executive leadership appointments. All are effective as of Nov. 10.
Lorianne Feltz has been named executive vice president of services, and will handle the insurer’s Corporate Claims, Field Claims and Customer Service divisions. She is a 27-year Erie Insurance veteran, most recently serving as senior vice president, Customer Service.
Doug Smith is Erie’s new executive vice president of Product and Sales. In his new role, Smith will oversee Erie’s personal, commercial and life insurance lines. Smith has held the position in an interim capacity since July 2016. Smith has served 8 of his 16 years at Erie as senior vice president of Personal Lines. Before that, he was a leader in Erie’s actuarial division.
Sherri Silver will become senior vice president, Strategic Marketing. A part of Erie since 2010, Silver was previously senior vice president of marketing. Her responsibilities grew in 2014, when she was tasked with establishing Erie’s customer experience priority initiative.

CNA promoted two executives to new positions.
Kelly Walsh will be the insurer’s new vice president, Branch Services, a newly-created role. In her new job, Walsh will handle field implementation of all Commercial projects, projects and operational efficiencies. To do this, Walsh and her team will partner with Product Services, Line of Business and Worldwide Operations. Walsh most recently was assistant vice president, Line of Business Services and Operation.
Lindsay Lovvorn has been named vice president, product and process systems, a newly-created role. In her new job, Lovvorn will handle overall management and maintenance of systems vital to keep Commercial business running. She in her team will work in conjunction with Line of Business, Product Services, Actuary, Information Technology and Branch Services.
Both will report to Barb Sandelands, senior vice president, Underwriting Services, CNA Commercial.

Everest Re Group Ltd. appointed a former QBE executive as head of Professional Liability – a segment of Everest Specialty Underwriters. The Professional Liability group will target professional liability and commercial errors and omissions insurance across a wide spectrum of clients and professional products.
Previously, Don Allard was at QBE, where he served as senior vice president, Head of Specialty Programs. He has 32 years of insurance industry experience and served in executive roles at companies including XL Catlin and Kemper.
