CNA appointed former AIG executive David Price as senior vice president and chief underwriting officer for CNA Canada, effective Aug. 9.
Price will be responsible for underwriting oversight and governance for all products and lines of business written within CNA Canada’s commercial and specialty lines. He’ll be based in Toronto and report to John Hennessy, president and chief operating officer of CNA Canada.
Previously, Price was with AIG Canada, where he served as Executive for their Property & Specialty Risks and Financial Lines. While there, he also handled strategic direction for all first party and ancillary lines of business, including commercial property, energy, construction, programs, surety, trade credit, political risk, and also marine and aviation divisions.

JLT Re hired Guy Carpenter veteran Micah Woolstenhulme as its Philadelphia, Pa.-based head of risk and economic advisory. He’ll report to JLT Re’s global head of analytics, David Flandro.
At Guy Carpenter, Woolstenhulme was managing director of enterprise risk management and actuarial. Before that, he was a vice president at Swiss Re focused on product development and strategy.
JLT Re is part of the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc.

Specialist Lloyd’s insurer Neon hired Olly Reeves as chief risk officer.
Pending regulatory approval, Reeves will join the Neon Underwriting board and executive committee. He’ll report to Ian Martin, managing director of Neon (formerly known as Marketform).
Previously, Reeves was head of risk management at Lloyd’s of London.
