Chubb grabbed three former AIG executives to help lead an expanded U.S. trade credit team. Beazley hired an ex-AIG exec to boost its medical liability underwriting. GCube Insurance also brought in a former AIG team member to serve a leadership role. Marsh and JLT Re also made big hires (but not from AIG).

Chubb is strengthening its trade credit team in the U.S., through the hiring of three former AIG executives – two of whom will run a new Chicago office.
Peter Hunter will head the office, as vice president, Trade Credit. The 20-year industry veteran was most recently at American International Group, where he was regional underwriting manager, Trade Credit, for Chicago. In his new role, he will report to Fredrik Murer, head of Americas, political risk and credit, for Chubb Global Markets.
Yoon Koh will report to Hunter as senior underwriter. At AIG, she held a number of underwriting positions over the last four years, most recently as senior underwriter, Trade Credit, Chicago.
Brennan Elio will join Chubb as assistant vice president, Trade Credit and be based in New York. In his new role, he’ll focus on profitably growing Chubb’s trade credit business on the U.S. East Coast. At AIG, he developed more than 7 years of insurance industry experience, most recently as regional underwriting manager, Trade Credit, New York. Elio will also report to Murer.

Beazley appointed ex-AIG executive Natalie Mauro as a medical liability underwriter in its Philadelphia office.
At AIG, Mauro was team leader for its Mid Atlantic Healthcare division. Before AIG, she was a Western Territory Underwriter for Alterra Excess & Surplus.
At Beazley, Mauro is joining an expanding team focused on the needs of healthcare industry organizations, with a focus on hard-to-place risks.

A former AIG executive joined GCube Insurance Services in a leadership role.
Geoff Miller has taken on the title of senior vice president. He’ll be based in New York, and brings the renewable energy underwriter years of marine and energy underwriting expertise. At AIG, Miller held senior positions in the Global Marine and Global Energy Property Division
With GCube, he’ll work with brokers and insurers on wind and solar power risks, and coordinate East Coast underwriting efforts to help brokers in the United States and Canada.

Marsh named Martin South as president of its U.S. and Canada division.
South had been CEO of Marsh’s Asia-Pacific region since 2013. He will replace Rob Bentley, who has moved on to handle strategic initiatives across Marsh & McLennan Companies’ Risk and Insurance Services segment, which includes Marsh and Guy Carpenter.
South takes on his new role on Sept. 1 and reports to John Doyle, Marsh’s president, and he’ll be based in Marsh’s New York office. In his new role, he’ll oversee Marsh’s U.S. core brokerage businesses in Canada, and its portfolio of U.S. businesses in various industries and practices.

JLT Re hired Aaron Bueler as executive vice president and managing broker. He’ll be based in Seattle and report to George Daddario, deputy CEO of JLT Re in North America, and the job officially starts on September 8.
Previously, Bueler was at Guy Carpenter for nearly 30 years (this happened after starting at Sedgwick Re, which Guy Carpenter acquired in 1999). While there, he lead the workers compensation practice for more than 10 years. Bueler also has extensive experience on all forms and types of related insurance.
