A former Chubb executive is joining QBE North America as senior vice president, loss control.

In his new position, Victor Sordillo will focus on planning, supervising and executing QBE North America’s loss control plans and strategy. His tasks will include developing long-range business objectives, directing risk-management practices that help reduce QBE-Insurancelosses but also favorably affect new business sales and renewal retention, and ensuring alignment with sales and underwriting strategies.

Sordillo will be based in New York and report to QBE North America Chief Underwriting officer Alan Driscoll.

Previously, Sordillo was global technical services manager for the Chubb Group, where he spent 30 years in various leadership and executive roles.

Robert Katzman, a former AIG executive, is now chief actuary at Argo Group International Holdings, an international underwriter of property/casualty-related specialty insurance and reinsurance products.

Katzman will be tasked with guiding development and execution of Argo Group’s global actuarial function including pricing, reserving, reinsurance analysis, planning, modeling, research, predictive analytics and digitalization.

Previously, Katzman was head of global casualty pricing and analytics at American International Group. Before joining AIG in 2013, he held various leadership roles at Travelers, Crum & Forster and Reliance National Insurance Company.

At Argo Group, Katzman will report to Chief Financial Officer Jay Bullock.

David Hallstrom

CNA appointed David Hallstrom as its new assistant vice president and industry leader, Cyber Insurance. He’ll handle CNA cyber product management and report to Katie Wilson, vice president, General Liability and Cyber Underwriting.

Before joining CNA in 2008, Hallstrom served in various management and leadership roles at Risk Placement Services, Zurich North America, Near North National Group and Aon.

Aspen Insurance hired Raheila Nazir as its head of international cyber risk.

Nazir was most recently with AIG Europe Ltd., where she was a professional indemnity manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where she helped drive the division’s cyber strategy. Before that, she was AIG Europe’s Cyber & Communications, Media and Technology Manger. She also has executive experience from Cat Excess Ltd., Brit and RSA.

Nazir officially joins Aspen – a division of Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd., on June 30. She’ll report to Ann Haugh, president of Aspen International Insurance and chief operating officer for Aspen Insurance; and Oliver Brew, executive vice president, global head of Cyber Risk and head of International Professional Indemnity.
