Kemper Corp. hired an ex-ACE Group exec as its new chief information officer. W.R. Berkley Corp. brought on three former Chubb executives to flesh out its new high net worth personal lines division.

Kemper Corp. hired a former ACE Group executive as its new senior vice president and chief information officer.

Charles Brooks will be based in Chicago and report directly to Kemper President and CEO Joseph P. Lacher, Jr. He’ll be responsible for Kemper’s information systems executives, including the Property & Casualty, Life & Health and Corporate Services Teams.

Before Kemper, Brooks was global operations officer for ACE Group in Philadelphia (ACE and Chubb have since merged under the Chubb name.) He also has prior executive experience from Aetna, Travelers and Accenture.

W.R. Berkley Corp. added three senior executives to its newly created high net worth personal lines business.

Kevin Hogan will be senior vice president and chief operating officer; Susan Vella will be senior vice president – customer experience; and Christoph Ritterson has been named senior vice president – marketing.

All will report to corporate senior vice president Kathleen M. Tierney, a former Chubb executive who now oversees the new business Unit. All three are also former Chubb executives, according to their LinkedIn profiles.
