CNA recruited a former Chubb executive for a key role. Ironshore hired on a new executive will help build its London-based underwriting property program business. Beazley appointed a former Hiscox exec to help expand its U.S. healthcare management liability business.

Ironshore appointed Melanie Alexander to be its new head of Global Property Programs, where she’ll oversee the London-based property faculty business.
Alexander will report to Tony Mammolite, president of global property.
Before Ironshore, Alexander has spent more than 16 years handling underwriting for various syndicates at Lloyd’s for global property classes. She most recently served as director for Shepherd Compello Ltd., where she launched a venture for the Lloyd’s Broker and Coverholder to diversify business lines to expand into new markets.
Ironshore said Alexander will help build its presence for underwriting property program businesses throughout its London platform.

CNA hired Dieter Korte as vice president, underwriting for the company’s manufacturing segment. In his new role, he will lead the segment in implementing its strategic and operational objectives, and report to John Tatum, senior vice president, Commercial Segments.
Korte was at Chubb in a variety of executive roles over 25 years, including managing global product lines, creating strategies for segments and lines of business, and leading large teams of field underwriters within branches, zones and larger terrorities.

A Hiscox and AIG veteran is joining Beazley to help expand its U.S. healthcare management liability capabilities in the Southeast region.
Edward Fedak will be Beazley’s new healthcare management liability underwriter focused on the Southeast, with plans to be based in the specialty insurer’s Atlanta office.
The coverage is designed to protect against directors and officers risks, antitrust risks, regulatory billing errors and omissions, employment practices liability risks and fiduciary liability risks.
Fedak was most recently at Hiscox, where he built a profitable book of management liability business. Before that, he was part of AIG’s management liability group.
