A veteran insurance executive is joining OneBeacon Insurance Group as its president of professional liability.

In his new role, John Iannotti will oversee the insurer’s financial services, management liability and design professional liability business. He’ll report to executive vice president Dennis Crosby.

Iannotti most recently was senior vice president at Everest National, where he oversaw their professional liability business going back to 2009. Before that, he built up experience in various roles at American International Group.

Overall, Iannotti has close to 25 years of insurance industry experience, with 20 years focused specifically on management and professional liability business.

Liberty Mutual hired an AIG executive to be its new national accounts engineering practice leader.

Robert Morelli’s job will be to develop and deliver engineering products and services that help Liberty Mutual’s commercial policyholders better spot and mitigate property risks and exposures that threaten business operations.

Previously, he was global engineering technical officer at AIG. During his time there, Morelli handled engineering services provided to AIG’s commercial property book. Before AIG, Morelli was engineering practice leader at XL Insurance.

Hamilton Underwriting Ltd., the managing agency of Lloyd’s Syndicate 3334 and the Lloyd’s operations of Hamilton Insurance Group, appointed Simon Barrett as its chief financial officer.

Barrett joins Hamilton Underwriting Ltd. from XL Group plc, where he developed and communicated strategic and annual business plans, monitored financial results against those plans and gave advice/input on new business initiatives.

Barrett also has previous executive experience from stints at QBE Europe and Iron Trades UK Ltd., Sumitomo Marine and Fire Insurance Europe Ltd. and Nelson Hurst plc.

Argo Group International Holdings Ltd. brought on a new executive to

handle group communications and public relations.

David Snowden’s formal title at the international underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance will be senior vice president, group communications and public relations.

In his new role, Snowden will run communications activities at the insurer including employee, customer and financial communications; media relations, digital communications and social media.

Snowden joined Argo Group from Natixis Global Management, where he was senior vice president of public relations for the U.S. and Nataxis global affiliates. His previous executive/communications experience comes from stints at the Hartford Financial Services Group and USAA.

Erie Indemnity Company said that Marcia Dall, executive vice president and chief financial officer, will leave the company on Oct. 9, 2015. Dall will take on a similar executive role at Churchill Downs Inc. Over at Erie Indemnity, Greg Gutting, Erie’s senior vice president, controller, will serve as interim CFO.

Erie Indemnity Company provides management services to member companies of Erie Insurance Group, which is the 11^th largest homeowners insurer and 12^th largest automobile insurer in the United States based on direct premiums written. It is the 16^th largest property/casualty insurer in the United States based on total lines net premium written.
