Allianz Group said it has brought on Bernard McNulty to be head of claims in Canada for its Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (ACGS) arm.

McNulty is running ACGS’s claims division throughout Canada, which includes a team of 14 people. ACGS Canada is one of the country’s largest industrial insurance carriers and insurers nearly half of the top 100 companies in the country.

McNulty most recently was vice president, strategic broker and customer development at RSA Group. Before that, he held a number of claims leadership roles at GCAN Insurance Co. and ACE Group.

Aspen Insurance, the insurance arm of Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd., named Patrick Hickey as executive vice president, marine, for its U.S. arm.

Hickey was previously at Zurich, as head of marine, global corporate, for the carrier’s North America division. In his new role, he’ll lead Aspen Insurance’s U.S. marine operation, covering both inland and ocean.

Alejandro Padilla is Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford’s new general manager and head of broking for Mexico, Central America, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

Padilla comes to CGSC from Swiss Re. Over his career, he has held other leadership roles at Guy Carpenter, CGSC, JP Morgan and ING Insurance Company, among others. In his new role, he will focus, in part, on expansion and acquisition of new businesses, as well as recruiting more top producers. As well, he’ll be tasked with bringing service excellence to CGSC’s reinsurance brokerage and wholesale clients.

Catastrophe risk management firm RMS has named Sanjiv “Sunny” Sharma as senior vice president of cloud operations and information technology.

Sharma was previously at Rocket Fuel, a digital advertising firm. In his new role at RMS, he’ll drive RMS’ cloud operations as well as a broad range of IT initiatives in support of the company’s clients and employees.
