The Institutes is partnering with the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business again this year to offer an Executive Education program designed for senior-level managers in the property/casualty insurance industry.

This six-day interactive program will be held Mar. 22 to Mar. 27, 2014 on the Darden campus in Charlottesville, Va., and will provide strategic leadership training tailored to the risk management and insurance industry.

Designed to accelerate the development of leadership skills and deepen managers’ understanding of insurance industry issues and how they influence decision-making, the curriculum includes these course titles:

  • How Do You Know You Have a Good Strategy?
  • Managing the Innovation Process
  • Strategic Decision Making: The Role of Analysis
  • Linking Financial Performance and Strategy
  • Building Organizational Capabilities for Competitive Advantage
  • Digital Marketing
  • The Changing Role of Data, Marketing Analytics and Marketing Accountability

Several courses are presented in a “learning teams” format, allowing small groups to discuss cases and other in-class assignments to encourage interaction between participants and learning from each other’s diverse perspectives.

In addition to allowing participants to build a global network of industry peers and experts, the program is designed to help attendees gain a competitive advantage by learning strategic decision-making techniques.
