Tutoki’s appointment to CEO is part of a planned succession, the company says. As part of the transition, current President and CEO Philippe Bes will remain at the company as president through August 31, after which he will retire. Following his retirement, he will serve as a senior advisor to the company.

Ward currently serves as chairman of Brit plc and as a nonexecutive director of Partnership Assurance Group plc. He previously served as CEO of Lloyd’s of London from 2006 to 2013 and as CEO and chairman at the International Petroleum Exchange, which was rebranded as ICE Futures.

Ward was a board member of the Geneva Association, the leading think tank of the world’s largest insurers and reinsurers, and in 2009 was a member of the Insurance Industry Working Group, led by U.K. Chancellor Alistair Darling, where he contributed to a report on the challenges and opportunities facing the global insurance business.

Tutoki joins Cunningham Lindsey from AIG Property and Casualty, where she served as global head of claims operations since 2012. Previously, she worked as both head of the Americas Region and executive director of global insurance for Xchanging plc.

She held a number of senior positions at Zurich Financial Services from 2002 to 2010, including global chief claims officer and chief claims officer of the North America Commercial Division. She holds a Juris Doctor degree and is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.

Cunningham Lindsey is one of the world’s largest loss adjusting and claims management companies.
