The focus on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the insurance sector is gaining pace—not just linearly but exponentially. More and more people have become part of the conversation, yet many are still unsure how to contribute or where to start.
To be clear, I don’t have all the answers, but I am committed to approaching DEI with humility, listening and learning to become a better active ally. Reflecting on my own experience, I have only recently come to understand the importance of moving beyond allyship to active allyship. This is the theme for this year’s Dive In, a global movement launched in 2015, with a festival holding events in 32 countries to support the development of inclusive workplace cultures in the industry.
