Actuaries are back on the top of an annual ranking of best jobs, retaking the crown from software engineers, who held the title for two years running—and trouncing newspaper reporters who have the worst jobs in the nation.
The list was published last week by Careercast.com, which ranks careers based on dozens of factors, such as the degree of hazards personally faced, physical demands (crawling, stooping bending, etc.), income growth potential, employment outlook, competitiveness, travel and contact with the public.
