Hari Balakrishnan is the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT). CMT, a smartphone-centric telematics provider, has active programs with over 25 insurers in 16 countries, including several in the United States, as well as programs with several fleets, cellular carriers, automakers and government agencies. Balakrishnan is also the Fujitsu Professor of Computer Science at MIT and a Director of Wireless@MIT. Before CMT, he co-founded StreamBase (acquired by TIBCO) and was a founding adviser to Meraki (acquired by Cisco), both MIT spin-offs. He was inducted into the National Academy of Engineering in 2015 and to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2017.
